Kathmandu, Aug 28: US President Donald Trump has vowed to send Nepal “any help that they need” in the aftermath of the devastating Bhotekoshi flash floods happened on Wednesday, the NBC News reported.
The NBC News has quoted the US President saying that he spoke to Nepali officials and acknowledged that many Americans are still missing. “We’ve called Nepal, and we’ve offered any help that they need,” Trump is quoted in the news.
Earlier on Thursday, the State Department announced to provide $500,000 in assistance through its global award with Catholic Relief Services, supporting emergency shelter, relief items, and water, sanitation, and hygiene assistance to flood-affected communities, according to the US Embassy in Kathmandu.
