Agency, Aug 16: Defending champions Al Nassr have made a winning start to their Saudi Pro League title defense, defeating Al Fateh 3–0 in their opening match on Saturday night.
At Al-Awwal Park, Al Nassr took the lead in the 37th minute through Angelo, who headed home from Salim Al-Najdi’s cross.
The hosts doubled their advantage just three minutes later when João Félix produced a fine finish following a pass from Sadio Mané.
Al Nassr continued to dominate after the break and added a third goal in the 73rd minute. Samu completed the scoring after converting Abdullah’s pass.
Al Fateh were unable to find a way back into the match, while Al Nassr held on to their two-goal advantage until the final whistle.
With the 3–0 victory, Al Nassr opened their campaign with three points and began their title defense in convincing fashion.
