Sunsari incident: PM Office requests to maintain social harmony

Kathmandu, July 28: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has paid tribute to a person who lost his life in the incident occurred at Dewangunj rural municipality-3, Kaptangunj in Sunsari district on July 26, and also wished for speedy recovery to the injured ones.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday, Spokesperson at the OPMCM, Hem Raj Aryal, shared that arrangement of free treatment to the injured ones has been made from the Ministry of Health and Food Safety.

Similarly, the Home Ministry formed a committee to submit the report with measures to be taken to prevent such incidents in coming days by finding truth behind the incident. The committee has been asked to submit the report within seven days.

It is said that the government is committed to provide appropriate compensation to the victim sides and to take stern legal action against the guilty.

The OPMCM has appealed to everyone to maintain religious tolerance, mutual unity and social harmony that Nepali society has embraced for centuries.

All political parties, civil society, religious organisations, media, and entire community have been urged to maintain law and order, social and religious harmony in the country during this sensitive hour.
