Cabinet decisions: Shrestha appointed Executive Chair of NAC

Kathmandu, July 14: The government has appointed Chairperson of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)’s Board of Directors, Maheswor Bhakta Shrestha, as its Executive Chairperson, also with a mandate to work as the General Manager.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Singha Durbar decided to designate him to the post of Executive Chair and General Manager, shared government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel.

The cabinet also decided to provide incentive allowances to the staffs of the Armed Police Force, Nepal engaging in disaster rescue and relief.

Spokesperson Pokharel further shared that the meeting decided to provide cash prizes along with letters of appreciation to athletes, coaches, assistant coaches, physiotherapists, and managers securing medals in international competitions.
The meeting authorized the Ministry of Home Affairs to immediately implement the reports of various commissions formed in the past regarding unfair transactions (loan sharking) in accordance with the government decision.

Additionally, the cabinet has approved the Seeds (First Amendment) Regulations, 2083 BS.
