Foreign Minister Khanal Arrives in Beijing

Kathmandu, June 14: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal arrived in Beijing on Sunday afternoon for a four-day official visit to China.

Upon his arrival, Khanal was welcomed by Nepal’s Acting Ambassador to China, Roshan Khanal, and officials from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the visit, the foreign minister is scheduled to hold separate meetings with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, as well as other senior Chinese officials. Discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and issues of mutual interest.

The Embassy of Nepal in Beijing is hosting a reception in his honor on Sunday evening, where Khanal will also interact with members of the Nepali community living in China.

As part of efforts to promote foreign investment in Nepal, Khanal will participate in an investment conference organized by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing. He is also expected to hold discussions with Chinese entrepreneurs and business leaders on potential investment opportunities in Nepal.

Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 17.
