RSP Chair Lamichhane, BJP President Nabin hold meeting

Kathmandu, June 2: Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nitin Nabin, held discussion about gowning role and potentials of Gen-Z generation in politics.

During the meeting held at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi today, they exchanged the views about the possible role of Gen-Z, particularly in shaping democratic participation, public discourse and future leadership.

A delegation led by Chairperson Lamichhane met with National President of BJP, Nabin, and other senior leaders as part of ‘Know BJP’ initiative.

Welcoming to the delegation, President Nabin highlighted the close and historic ties between India and Nepal, rooted in shared civilization heritage, cultural bonds and strong people-to-people relations.
He said such interactions help strengthen democratic dialogue and deepen party-to-party engagement between BJP and RSP.

The BJP President shared insights into the BJP’s journey, ideology, organisational structure and its people-centric approach to political engagement.

He explained the party’s organisational model from the national level to the booth level, highlighting the importance of BJP cadres in maintaining a direct and routine connections with people at the grassroots, reads a press release issued by Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-charge, Foreign Affairs Department of BJP.
During the interaction, the RSP delegation was keen to know about BJP’s membership process, candidate selection system and the party’s mechanism for identifying and connecting with grassroots workers.

BJP President Nabin, in response, explained how BJP’s organisational strength was built through continuous public outreach, booth-level engagement and participation of ordinary citizens in the democratic process.

He also highlighted the development-oriented governance model under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP President further said that development, service, good governance and welfare delivery have remained central to BJP’s public outreach and governance approach.

Arun Singh, National General Secretary, BJP; Sanjay Jaiswal, Member of Parliament; Sushri Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament; and Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-charge, Foreign Affairs Department, BJP, were present in the meeting.

The delegation also visited the BJP Media Centre and the Central Library at the party headquarters.
The meeting was followed by a luncheon interaction, which was joined by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, among others.

RSP Chair Lamichhane leading the delegation left for New Delhi on Monday for a five-day India visit at the BJP’s invitation.

Chair Lamichhane is accompanied by his spouse Nikita Poudel, RSP Assistant General-Secretary and member of the House of Representatives, Bipin Kumar Acharya, RSP Secretarait Member and HoR member Dipak Bohara, and personal secretary Pradip Acharya.
