Manchester, May 14: Manchester City closed the gap at the top of the Premier League table to just two points after a convincing 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
Playing at the Etihad Stadium, City produced a dominant performance with goals from Antoine Semenyo, Omar Marmoush and Savinho.
Semenyo opened the scoring in the 32nd minute to hand City an early lead before Marmoush doubled the advantage eight minutes later with a well-taken finish.
Savinho sealed the victory in the 84th minute as Pep Guardiola’s side comfortably secured all three points.
With the win, Manchester City moved to second place in the standings with 77 points from 36 matches, cutting the gap to league leaders Arsenal to just two points. Arsenal remain top of the table with 79 points from the same number of games.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, stay 15th with 44 points from 36 matches following the defeat.
