Motorable bridge constructed over Kaikukhola in Kaligandaki corridor

Myagdi, May 8: A motorable bridge over Kaikukhola (river) in Mustang district along the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road section was constructed.

The Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project Office built the 20-metre-long bridge over Kaikukhola in Thasang Rural Municipality, Mustang.

Information Officer of Project Office, Jem Kumar Baitha, said that vehicular movement has started along the road section after the completion of the bridge construction.

It is said that the bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 53.46 million. Likewise, access routes and other facilities to control flooding have also been developed on the site.

So far, 15 motorable bridges have been constructed along the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road section, which is 202 kilometres from Maldhunga in Parbat to the Korala check point along the Nepal-China border.
Likewise, a bridge over Ghamikhola in Lo-Ghekar Damodarkunda Rural Municipality in Mustang district is under construction.
