President Paudel Summons Federal Parliament Session

Kathmandu, May, 5 : Ramchandra Paudel has called a session of both houses of the Federal Parliament for Thursday at 2:00 PM (Baisakh 28), the Office of the President said.

The decision follows a recommendation made earlier Tuesday by the Council of Ministers to convene the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

The government had previously recommended summoning the session on Baisakh 17, which was approved by the President. However, the session was postponed the following day at the government’s request.

During the interim, the government introduced eight ordinances, which were subsequently issued by the President.

After the ordinances were promulgated, the Cabinet again recommended calling the parliamentary session, leading to the latest announcement.
