Government Employees to Be Paid Twice a Month

Kathmandu, April 19 : Government employees in Nepal will now receive their salaries twice a month, as the Ministry of Finance has decided to introduce a biweekly payment system.

Under the new arrangement, salaries and allowances will be disbursed every 15 days instead of a single monthly payment. The move aims to reform the existing payment mechanism and improve cash flow management for employees.

According to an official communication from the Ministry, the Office of the Financial Comptroller General has been directed to make necessary preparations for the implementation of the new system.

Until now, government employees were paid their full salaries at the end of each month. With the new system in place, payments will be made in two installments every month.
