Construction of Phapla Cricket Stadium is in government’s priority: Chief Minister Shah

Sudurpaschim, March 21: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, has said that the provincial government has prioritised the construction of Phapla International Cricket Stadium and Sports Village in Dhangadhi.

He expressed the provincial government’s commitment to providing all possible support in the construction of the sports village during a meeting today with Subash Shahi, Chairperson of the Phapla International Cricket Stadium and Sports Village Committee.

“The province has given high priority to the construction of this cricket project, which serves as a game-changer for the Sudurpaschim Province, and necessary initiatives will also be taken with the federal government for additional budget allocation for this,” Chief Minister Shah said.

On the occasion, Chairman Shahi informed the Chief Minister about the progress made so far and urged him to prioritise this project in the upcoming budget.

Technical works such as the detailed study report (DPR) and environmental impact assessment of the under-construction Phapla Cricket Stadium located in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–3 have been completed.

Shahi said that a budget of Rs 11 billion is required for project construction in the first phase.
