Wushu team to leave for China on Saturday

Kathmandu, March 19: A 10-member Nepali team, including six players, is leaving for China on Saturday to attend the 10th World Junior Wushu Championship.

Players Rashmi Tamang, Girish Paudel, Lhakpa Dolma Lama, Sara Tamang, Samrat Thapa and Chhiring Sherpa are playing the match that runs from March 23 to 31.
The championship is also a selection match for Youth Olympics to be held in Dakar, Senegal.

The team also comprises coaches Lanam Lama and Jang Bahadur Tamang and referees Manjur Maharjan and Govind Bahadur Shahi.

Member Secretary at the National Sports Council, Ram Charitra Mehata, and Board member Kamal Bahadur Bhattarai bid farewell to the team, extending best wishes amidst a programme on Thursday.
