Kathmandu, Feb 23: One more passenger injured in the Dhading bus accident died during treatment, which reached the death toll to 18. Similarly, 22 others injured in the incident have been receiving treatment in Kathmandu hospitals.
The bus (Ga 2 Kha 1421) heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara had met the accident at Charaundi of Benighat Rorang rural municipality-7 in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway early Monday morning.
Spokesperson at Kathmandu District Range, Paban Kumar Bhattarai, informed that among the passengers injured and rescued from the incidents site, 12 are receiving treatment at National Trauma Centre and 10 others at National City Hospital, Kalanki.
However, one passenger brought for the treatment has died. The dead one is yet to be identified, he added.
At National City Hospital, Kalanki, nine are male passengers and a woman, while at Trauma Centre, there are seven males and five women.
Those receiving treatment at National City Hospital are Rajesh Kunwar, 33, from Sitapaila; Subin Malla, 18, from Tanahu; Pratibha Paudel, 35, from Lekhnath, Kaski; Chandrasis Phunyal, 23, from Devinagar, Kaski; Sangam Malla, 19 from Kathmandu; Pramila Bhattarai, 39, from Chisua, Kaski; Dambar Bahadur BK, 64, from Syangja; Krishna Tiwari, 25, from Kalanki, Kathmandu; Sunam Gurung, 20, from Kaski; Rajendra Bisunke, 36, from Dhunibeshi, Dhading.
Similarly, those undergoing treatment at Trauma Centre are Anji Sherpa, 48, from Bouddha, Kathmandu; Som Prasad Malla, 45, from Tanahu; Bipin Manandhar, 30, from Jhapa; Puja Phuyal, 28, from Gokarna, Kathmandu; Sachindra Sunar, 26, from Phedikhola, Syangja; Pradip Lamichhane from Lekhnath, Kaski; Norbu Palden from Bouddha, Kathmandu; Swarnima Khatri from Kapan, Kathmandu; Salina Pariyar, 19, from Kaski; Man Bahadur Thapa, 44, from Tanahu; Lansanggoli Lama, 48, from Boudha, Kathmandu; and a 22-year-old Chinese national.
