Kathmandu, Feb 6: The central committee on monitoring of election code of conduct has so far sought clarifications from 34 violators of election code of conduct- political parties and leaders. Among which, 24 have furnished responses, according to the Election Commission (EC).
Joint Secretary and Spokesperson at EC, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, informed that the complaints were received at district levels as well and actions forwarded accordingly. The code of conduct monitoring committees are in effect at central office and districts as well. The monitoring officers are working actively to minimize the violation of the code of conduct, he added.
All sides concerned have been made aware on strict adherence to the election code of conduct to make the House of Representatives (HoR) election free and fair.
