Kathmandu, Jan 31: Chairman of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has demanded that the government ensures proper security and fairness in the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Addressing an electoral rally organized today in Kathmandu by the UML’s Okhaldhunga-Kathmandu Liaison Forum, he emphasized that there should be effective arrangements for peace and security to prevent fraud or undesirable activities during the election.
The former Prime Minister urged voters to support young leader Asmita Thapa, candidate of the UML.
Candidate Thapa claimed that she would not misuse the votes given by the people of Okhaldhunga and would prove herself as a good daughter and a capable people’s representative through positive actions.
At the programme, UML central member and Okhaldhunga district in-charge Yagyaraj Sunuwar expressed that having a young female candidate has generated great enthusiasm in Okhaldhunga.
