Nepal falls 2–1 to Indonesia in International Friendly

Kathmandu, November 26: Nepal suffered a narrow 2–1 defeat against Indonesia in an international friendly match held on Wednesday night.

Playing at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, the hosts secured victory through goals from Aulia Al Mabruroh and captain Zia Yummanda, who each found the back of the net once. Nepal’s lone goal came via an own goal from the Indonesian defense.

Nepal took an early lead in the 20th minute when Indonesian defender Vivi Oktavi Risky accidentally headed the ball into her own net while attempting to stop a header from Nepal forward Bimala BK.

Indonesia responded strongly in the second half. Captain Zia leveled the score in the 58th minute with a composed finish, bringing the hosts back into the match. Just nine minutes later, Aulia scored the decisive goal, turning the game in Indonesia’s favor.

Despite Nepal’s efforts in the remaining minutes, no further goals were scored, sealing the match 2–1 for Indonesia.

Nepal will now face Chinese Taipei in their second friendly match on December 2.
