Home Minister directs to check cross-border unintended activities and revenue leakage

Kathmandu, Nov 24: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has made an on-site observation visit of the integrated check post under-construction along Bhairahawa-Belhiya in Siddhartha Municipality of Rupandehi and the Armed Police Force (APF)’s Border Security Battalion in Danda.

He made the on-site visit just before the province-level security workshop which is kicking off from the Lumbini Province on Tuesday.

Minister Aryal was accompanied by the Ministry Secretary Rameswor Dangal, Inspector General of Nepal Police, Dan Bahadur Karki and Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, among others.

According to the Home Ministry secretariat, the physical progress of the check post construction has reached 79 percent and financial progress 77 percent.
Likewise, Minister Aryal enquired about overall border security situation reaching the APF’s border security battalion in Bhairahwa.

On the occasion, Minister Aryal directed the authorities concerned to check potential unintended activities along the Nepal-India border and revenue leakage, and also facilitate movement of Nepali citizens being aware of undue behave meted out against them along the border.

He directed the District Security chief for the prevention of cross-border illicit trafficking and unintended activities.
