Focal Unit set up at Finance Ministry to facilitate foreign investors

Kathmandu, Nov 14: The Ministry of Finance has set up Focal Unit to make coordination with foreign investors and international development finance institutions more effective.

The Unit was established under the International Economic Relations Division under the ministry. The Unit has the responsibility of strengthening coordination with other ministries and bodies concerned on the issue of foreign investment.

According to Spokesperson of the Finance Ministry, Tanka Prasad Pandey, the Unit would provide necessary coordination and facilitation on the matter of banking, revenue and other issues that are directly related with the Finance Ministry for foreign investors.

It is expected that the Unit would play a significant role to remove obstacles seen on incoming investment and ensure timely service delivery.
