Election friendly environment is current need: Coordinator Dahal

Kathmandu, Oct 20: Coordinator of General Convention Organising Committee of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has stressed that creating an environment conducive to holding election in a safe and peaceful manner was the present urgency.

Extending best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Tihar, Nepal Sambat 1146 and Chhath festival today, Coordinator Dahal shared that the country should go for election by settling down the present political complexity.

“We believe that a new era of social justice and good governance can begin by amending the constitution for progressive transformation at national consensus after the election,” reads a message issued today by Dahal. Original cultural festivals make special contribution to mutual harmony, fraternity and emotional unity, the leader underlined, adding that such festivals help strengthen national unity.

Coordinator Dahal further expressed the belief that festivals encourage all in favour of national unity and progress by awakening new energy of hope and self-confidence among all.
