Kathmandu, Oct 20: Ganga Dahal, a member of the secretariat of CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair and convention organizing committee convener Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has resigned from her position.
Announcing her resignation through social media on Monday, Dahal said she decided to step down as her name was being continuously used to carry out ‘planned attacks’ against Prachanda and the party.
‘In such a situation, I reached the conclusion that stepping down from the secretariat would be in the best interest of my father, the party, and the movement,’ Dahal wrote.
She added that she would continue to remain an active member of the party throughout her life and expressed gratitude to party leaders, cadres, and the public for their support during her tenure in the secretariat.
