Kathmandu, Oct 14: Former Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder, has paid tribute to Nepali student Bipin Joshi, describing him as an energetic and capable young man following confirmation of his death.
Sharing a photo with Bipin on social media, Ambassador Goder wrote, “Bipin Joshi is no longer with us. Two years of hope have now come to an end. I had the privilege of meeting Bipin before his departure from Nepal to Israel. He was a young, energetic, and capable student who wanted to do good for his family, his community, and his country. Rest in peace, Bipin — we will all miss you deeply.”
Bipin was among the Nepali students who had gone to Israel under the Learn and Earn program. During a Hamas attack, ten Nepali students were killed, while Bipin had been missing since the incident. On Monday, Hamas confirmed his death and handed over his body to Israeli authorities.
