Kathmandu, September 25: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Nabin Neupane as the new head coach of the Nepal women’s national football team. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai officially handed him the appointment letter on Thursday.
The women’s team had been without a head coach since July, following the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers in Uzbekistan. Belgian coach Patrick De Wilde resigned after disputes with ANFA officials during the tournament, leaving the position vacant.
Neupane will lead the team until next year’s SAFF Women’s Championship 2026. Alongside him, Bhagwati Thapa and Raj Kumar KC have been appointed as assistant coaches, while Bindra Dewan continues as team manager, Shila Giri as physiotherapist, and Bikash Gurung as kit manager.
