Kathmandu, Sept 23: CPN (UML) leader and former minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi who escaped from the prison in course of the Gen Z protests has returned to the jail.
Rayamajhi was put inside the bar for his alleged involvement in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
According to Chomendra Neupane, Director of the Department of Prison Management, Rayamajhi who went out of the jail on September 9 attended in the prison today.
The Kathmandu District Court had remanded him to custody in the case in which he was involved in sending Nepali citizens to the United States of America disguising them as Bhutanese refugee.
The Department informed that a total of 7, 107 absconding prisoners, including 6,846 from the jail and 341 from the correction centre have returned to the prison. —
