Probe Commission Formed to Investigate Violence During GenZ Movement

Kathmandu, Sept 21: The government has constituted a high-level judicial probe commission to investigate the violent incidents that took place during the GenZ movement.

A Cabinet meeting on Sunday appointed Gauribahadur Karki as the chair of the commission. Former AIG Bijyanraj Sharma and Bishweshwar Prasad Bhandari have been named as its members.

The commission has been given a three-month mandate to complete its investigation. At least 74 people were killed during the protests on September 8 and 9 (Bhadra 23 and 24).
