APF exit AFC Women’s Champions League winless after 6-1 defeat to Al Nassr

Kathmandu, August 31: Nepal’s APF Club concluded their campaign at the AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/26 preliminary stage with a third consecutive defeat. In their final match on Sunday evening, APF suffered a heavy 6-1 loss against Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.

The match, held at the Markaziy Stadium, saw Al Nassr dominate from the start. Brazilian forward Duda netted a hat-trick, Clara Luvanga scored twice, and Shoukhun Sadraldin added one goal to seal the emphatic win. APF’s only consolation came from Sabitra Rana Magar, who scored their lone goal of the tournament.

Al Nassr took the lead early, with Luvanga scoring in just the 4th minute. Duda extended the advantage in the 40th minute, giving Al Nassr a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

APF showed some hope of a comeback when Sabitra found the net in the 50th minute, narrowing the deficit to 2-1. However, Al Nassr responded strongly. Luvanga scored her second goal in the 61st minute, followed by Duda’s stunning free-kick in the 69th to make it 4-1.

Duda completed her hat-trick in the 80th minute, pushing the scoreline to 5-1, and Sadraldin capped off the dominant performance with a goal in the 86th minute.

With this victory, Al Nassr secured three points, while APF finished the preliminary stage at the bottom of the group, without a single point from their three matches.
