Two goals in two minutes seal Real Madrid’s comeback win

Agency, August 31: Real Madrid produced a quickfire comeback to claim victory in La Liga. On Saturday night at the Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid defeated Mallorca 2-1 to secure their third consecutive league win.

Vedat Muriqi put the visitors ahead in the 18th minute with a header from a corner. However, Madrid responded decisively later in the first half. In the 37th minute, Arda Güler equalized with a close-range header into an empty net, and just two minutes later, Vinícius Júnior finished off a pass from Federico Valverde to give Madrid a 2-1 lead.

Despite Madrid having three goals ruled out by VAR, the hosts held firm in the second half to seal the win.

With this result, Madrid sit at the top of the table with nine points from three matches, while Mallorca remain 18th with just one point.
