15-bed Khandbari municipal hospital comes into operation

Khandbari (Sankhuwasabha), July 3: A 15-bed Khandbari Municipal Hospital has come into operation at Manebhanjyang in Khandbari municipality-3.

The municipality implemented ‘one local level, one hospital’ policy by upgrading Pama health post to the 15-bed hospital.

The hospital has started delivering its services from Wednesday. The municipal hospital building was constructed at a cost of Rs 37.35 million.

Former Minister for Health of Koshi Province, Rajendra Karki, Mayor Mahesh Thapaliya and Chief District Officer Divya Raj Pokharel, among others jointly inaugurated the hospital.

On the occasion, former Health Minister Karki expressed the commitment to support necessary medical equipment to the hospital.

Similarly, Mayor Thapaliya shared that the hospital would provide health services by appointing doctors, including medical officer from the beginning of upcoming fiscal year, 2082/83.
