Lack of treatment for economic crisis should end, PM says

Morang, June 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the situation of patients returning home from the hospitals without getting any medical treatment due to economic crisis should end.

Inaugurating, the Jivan Bikas Community Hospital and the Technical Education Foundation at Katahari Rural Municipality-2 in Morang district on Saturday, PM Oli pledged support and assistance for the development of the hospital established with social services at its core.

The hospital has been established with the objective of ensuring poor people’s access to affordable and quality health service in the eastern belt of the country.

The PM also expressed satisfaction for the hospital’s objective to provide treatment in an affordable cost, ending the trend of deprivation from health care services for lack of money.

The PM also wished for the success for the hospital’s upgrade from 200 beds to 300 beds and then to a medical college. “The government is ready to provide necessary support.”

Likewise, the PM appreciated the efforts of the Hospital’s Chairman and Federal Member of Parliament Yogendra Mandal and urged all to work for entrepreneurship development and employment generation.
