Kathmandu, Dec 12: The children’s home has been constructed in Humla district headquarters Simikot.
It was constructed with the Japanese government’s grant assistance of Rs 13.5 million.
Charge d’ Affaires of the Japanese Embassy, Tamura Takahiro handed over the keys of the building to the chief of the Rural Empowerment and Development Initiative (READI Humla) at a programme held there on Wednesday.
The building has the capacity to provide shelter to 30 children. According to a press release issued by the Japanese Embassy here today, the local community can conduct training and other activities in the newly constructed building.
